strategy is sexy.

Kind of like the way that pickup lines can be sexy. When the proper one is chosen and it’s executed correctly, there’s no telling how fast you’ll fall.

Whether you’re falling for a man or the newest brand of prebiotic soda, you probably have strategy to thank. There’s something so beautiful to me about this process - playing around with ideas of how to approach a certain situation, but backed by fact.

This is a part of the creative process that I thrive in. Going crazy with my ideas, but also making it make sense. It can be kind of like trying on different jackets - some heavyweight, others light, different materials, colors and coverage. But the jacket you decide to wear is most likely going to make sense with the environment you’re living in.

That deep dive you take into really placing yourself in the lives of the people around you is kind of indescribable. Turning your empathy on full blast to ask yourself about the perspective of the guy you sat next to on the bus or the mom walking around the grocery store with three kids under the age of seven. Not only does it contribute to my work, but being able to develop skills like this might actually help me more in my personal life.

The real beauty of this process lies in watching it work. Watching the way that your creativity can be the answer to a logical problem is sexy and nobody can tell me different.

It’s why I have an Amazon wish list full of TikTok influencer recommendations. It’s why Coca-Cola is universally considered better than Pepsi. It’s why I’m 22 years old and two years married.

Strategy is sexy.
