Dear Diet Mountain Dew,

I’m so sorry you had to find out like this. I really never meant for it to go this far. I hope that one day you can forgive me for calling you plain and old.

I’ve never considered myself an unfaithful person. The opposite, in fact. Honesty is a value that I typically hold so near and dear to my heart. I can’t explain it, but I had one sip and I was hooked. There’s something about those Fiiz drinks that I just can’t shake - it always leaves me wanting more. I yearn for them day and night and sometimes even twice a day!

You have been a trusty and reliable companion - always there for me when I’m having a bad day or need a bit of a pick-me-up. Please don’t take this out on Fiiz or on yourself. This has nothing to do with you or anything you’ve done wrong. In fact, you’ve done everything perfectly right. This is about something that has changed within me and I simply can’t deny it. It wouldn’t be fair to either of us to continue on the way we have been.

You are the right person for me, but I just feel that this is the wrong time, seeing as my heart currently belongs to another. Please know that I do genuinely care for you and hope that we can remain friends.

Plus, who knows what the future holds? Maybe a time will come around where we can be together again.
